the connected family

designed to be the most affordable eero to date, this device is quick to set up, and blends well into the home

the setup is quick. plug in the ethernet and power cables, open the app, and follow the short setup sequence. the more eeros are connected around the space, the better the connectivity will be

the unique angled face gives the antennas height while still keeping the product small

moving the design language forward, while keeping the signature features: rounded corners, polished spherical top face, and a foil stamped logo

hidden under the simplicity is the performance in a compact package

to preserve the pure simplicity of the design, the statue light hidden, appearing only when necessary

the overmolded foot subtly highlights the brand, integrates the reset button, and hides the regulatory requirements

a one screw assembly ensures as little parts as possible

we went through many variations of the design, focusing on creating an approachable and inviting aesthetic

sensing the size and shape through 3d printing, as well as meeting engineering height requirements, this eero device gets its angled front face from keeping height for the antennas while keeping the product as small as possible

the bucket construction was the biggest challenge, going through multiple attachment variations of the top case, ensuring the product could not be pried open. the rib and foam tape approach was preferred, alleviating plastic creaking and ensuring a tight fit

the internal connector slides helped keep the design intent of the back IO area seamless

the overmolded foot houses the label, which hides the gates as well as the screw holding the product together. the reset button is well integrated, and the label eventually matched the foot color
